Techno Throne (“we”, “our”, or “us”) operates the Super Upsell & Cross-sell Shopify application and the website https://teqnothrone.com (the “Service”).

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect information when merchants install and use our app, and when shoppers interact with upsell and cross-sell widgets displayed on a merchant’s Shopify storefront.

1. Who This Policy Applies To

This policy applies to:

• Merchants who install Super Upsell & Cross-sell on their Shopify store.
• Store visitors and customers who view or interact with upsell/cross-sell offers on a merchant’s storefront.

2. Information We Collect

a. Store and merchant information

When you install our Shopify app, we may access and process:

• Store name, domain, and Shopify store identifiers
• App installation and subscription status
• Merchant account details needed to operate the app (such as contact information provided through Shopify)
• App configuration and settings you create in the app admin

b. Product and catalog data

To display upsell and cross-sell offers, we access product-related information from your Shopify store, including:

• Product titles, descriptions, handles, images, and URLs
• Variants, prices, availability, and inventory status (as permitted by Shopify API scopes)
• Collections, product tags, and related catalog metadata used for offer rules

c. App configuration data (metafields)

Our app stores offer and widget configuration in Shopify metafields under the upsell_cross_sell namespace. This may include shop-level, product-level, and collection-level settings such as:

• Upsell and cross-sell offer mappings
• Widget placement and appearance settings
• Page-specific rules (product page, collection page, cart page, cart drawer)
• Visibility and exclusion rules (for example, by product tags or collections)

d. Storefront interaction data

When a shopper views or clicks an upsell/cross-sell offer on your storefront, our storefront extension may send limited, non-identifying interaction data to our servers, such as:

• Store domain
• Offer type (for example, upsell or cross-sell)
• Page type (for example, product, collection, or cart)
• Product handle associated with the clicked offer

This data is used to measure offer engagement and improve app performance. We do not use this storefront tracking to collect shopper names, email addresses, phone numbers, or payment details.

e. Cart-related storefront requests

When a shopper adds a recommended product to the cart from an upsell widget, the app uses Shopify’s standard storefront cart endpoints (such as /cart/add.js and /cart.js) to update the cart and refresh cart UI sections. Cart contents are processed as part of normal Shopify storefront functionality and are not used by us for unrelated purposes.

f. Technical and support information

We may automatically collect technical information when you use our app or website, including:

• IP address
• Browser type and device information
• Log data, error reports, and usage diagnostics
• Timestamps and basic activity records related to app operation

3. Information We Do Not Collect

Super Upsell & Cross-sell is designed for product recommendations and cart upsells. We do not:

• Operate a wishlist or customer account feature
• Collect shopper payment card information
• Sell personal data
• Use merchant store data for advertising unrelated to providing this app

4. How We Use Information

We use collected information to:

• Provide, operate, and maintain upsell and cross-sell functionality
• Display recommended products on product, collection, cart, and cart drawer pages
• Save and sync merchant offer rules and widget settings
• Measure offer clicks and basic engagement metrics
• Improve reliability, performance, and user experience
• Provide merchant support and respond to inquiries
• Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms

5. Shopify Integration

Our app integrates with Shopify through official Shopify APIs, app embeds, theme app extensions, and app proxy routes. We only request access to data necessary to provide upsell and cross-sell features and process data in accordance with Shopify’s platform requirements and applicable API scopes granted during installation.

If you uninstall the app, Shopify sends an uninstall notification and our access to your store data through Shopify APIs is revoked according to Shopify’s standard app lifecycle.

6. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade merchant or shopper personal information.

We may share limited data with trusted service providers that help us operate the app, such as:

• Cloud hosting and infrastructure providers
• Error monitoring and logging services
• Customer support tools

These providers may only use data to perform services on our behalf and must protect it appropriately. We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights, users, or the public.

7. Cookies and Similar Technologies

Our website and app admin may use cookies or similar technologies for essential functionality, security, and basic analytics. Shopify and your storefront theme may also set cookies required for cart and session functionality. You can control cookies through your browser settings, though some features may not work correctly if cookies are disabled.

8. Data Retention

We retain data only as long as necessary to:

• Provide the app and related support
• Maintain accurate offer configuration while the app is installed
• Meet legal, accounting, or compliance obligations
• Resolve disputes and enforce agreements

When a merchant uninstalls Super Upsell & Cross-sell, we delete or anonymize associated app data within a reasonable period, except where retention is required by law or legitimate business needs (such as billing records or security logs).

9. Data Security

We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or alteration. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of your personal information, or to request data portability.

Merchants: You can review and manage much of your store data directly in Shopify Admin. To request deletion of app-related data, uninstall the app or contact us.

Shoppers: If you are a customer of a Shopify store using our app, please contact the store owner first for requests related to your order or customer account. You may also contact us if you have questions about data processed by our app on that store.

11. International Data Transfers

Your information may be processed in countries other than your own. Where required, we take appropriate steps to ensure that cross-border transfers comply with applicable data protection laws.

12. Children’s Privacy

Our app is intended for use by merchants operating online stores and is not directed at children under the age of 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

13. Third-Party Links

Our website or app may contain links to third-party websites or services. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties.

14. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will post the revised policy on this page and update the effective date above. Continued use of the app after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
